9 tendências para cuidados com a pele em 2016.

Categoria: Inovações

Every year there are new technologies, techniques and trends in the beauty industry. Last year we saw the makeup artist's favourite cleanser, micellar water, enter bathrooms all over the country, we saw oils dominate in formulations cross-category (to be used on every part of the body) and skin lumination went to new heights (strobing and baking anyone?). To get an insight into what's going to make the big time in the natural beauty world this year we spoke to Mukti, the founder of Australian owned and made skincare brand Mukti Organics.

"Each year, trends come and go, but you want to ensure that you're embracing the ones that are nourishing and good for your skin," Mukti explains. "Our skin is extremely permeable and it's been proven that whatever we put on our skin gets absorbed into our blood stream." With so much information on the effects products are having on our skin and overall health, Mukti gives us her natural beauty predictions for a gorgeous and healthy 2016.

Superfood Skincare
A continued cross-pollination of healthy superfood consumables and topical ointments on the basis that: if it's safe enough to eat then it's safe enough to use on your skin. Ingredients to look out for include chia seed oil, matcha leaf powder, blueberries, chlorophyll and kale. Look for brightly coloured products with the inclusion of plant pigments and antioxidants.
Essential Fatty Acids
Super-critical extracted oil synergies and serums with amazing essential fatty acid (EFA) profiles including Omega 3, 6, 7 and 9. As our bodies do not produce EFA's we need to make sure we top up on them topically and in our diets. EFA's contain an abundance of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that help to counteract the effects of free radicals in our environment.
Chemical-Free Sunscreens
If you're out and about in your car or on the bus heading to work, then there's no need for a heavy duty arsenal of chemical sunscreens. Zinc oxide at an SPF of 15 is sufficient to keep out harmful UVA and UVB rays. But if you're heading to the beach go for a much higher SPF, and make sure its waterproof!
Low Impact Products
An increase in ethical, vegan, cruelty-free and sustainable products, particularly from Indie brands, as consumers become more eco-conscious and aware of the impact of chemicals on their health and the environment.
Back to Basics
The incorporation of more ancient ingredients that replicate the simplicity and wisdom of nature that allow formulators to use less ingredients with multi‐functional benefits.
Beauty Hybrids
Efficient and effective "mixoligiste" and hybrid products that deliver visible results within days or weeks of use.
Stress Busters
Essences, serums and elixirs that have a preventative and corrective approach to counteract stress reduction and the effects of premature ageing as a result of city living. And detoxification products, such as sleeping masques, that are healing and regenerative focusing on overnight repair with soothing, healing and calming ingredients.
Dry and Solid Products
These are convenient to travel with and are free from water — think balms and dry shampoos.
Fresh Is Best
As with food, a wave of new-generation products that are made in smaller batch runs by boutique brands with less preservation and shorter shelf lives to keep them efficatious and natural.
